Third Coast Poetry Readings & Events
(ATTENTION FRIENDS: ALWAYS CALL FIRST TO VERIFY VENUE)
At first I was going to simply title this "Mid-Michigan Poetry Events," since that is the distance I usually can push my auto to drive to a poetry reading or artistic shindig. However, that leaves out most of the actual poetry occurring all around me. Yes, Lansing, MI, is "a city that is simultaneously factory town, university town, state capitol,"1 but with Detroit, Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL … perhaps even Toledo (!) …. it seemed silly of me to focus on only the greater Lansing area. So here is Zachary's October Calendar of Third Coast Poetry Events I will either be trying to show up at or trying to perform in (if they let me near the microphone). Either way, a fun time will be had by all.
