4 Against the Wall
Ah, the first sleet of the year!
This Sergei Rachmaninoff-person is on the stereo, some droll piano concerto, I am led to believe. I am not too sure what all the hype is about. You see, my local mega-mart, Meijer Thrifty Acres, has mega-discounted Classical CDs; it's a great deal, since they must assume no one in the greater Midwest farming community listens to Hayden or Berlioz, so for the price of a soda pop you can buy The Best of … and open yourself up to something new. On my lunch break, in my nurse scrubs, I was getting the week's shop done (half an hour to buy as much coffee creamer and orange juice as I can carry) when my eye fell upon Rachmaninoff1 and one thing led to another and here we are.

However, along with the first sleet of the year,2 the five author copies of Sam's, Ruelaine's, Robert's and moi's 4 Against the Wall: a poetry anthology from iUniverse arrived at my doorstep this afternoon. I dropped off the other four copies in Ruelaine's mailbox at her place.
I have no idea what we shall do with the extra copy. I thought donate it the Special Collections at Michigan State University library along with the tapes we used for the interview would be a nice touch (plus if we all sign it). But if someone has a better idea, sugegstions are fine.
In the meantime … sleet!
- Though if anyone wants to be good to me and buy any of my very, very favorite classical music series, the Mad About … would be a wonderful First Sleet of the Year gift [back]
- I thought everyone would also be interested to note that I didn't win the MegaMillions $310 million Super Lotto last night (winning numbers: 02 04 05 40 48 07) either [back]
