celestial myrrh & you

Heh. I got a stick of celestial myrrh burning in the bathroom (no boring normal myrrh for this son of a Jewish pharaoh; I got celestial myrrh, baby!) and a copy of TimeOut's Buenos Aires - 2005 to leaf through. One of the things I like to do is go down to my public library and check out travel books to places I probably will never get to go to but catch my eye anyway.

Last night on my break at work I drove downtown and went a library branch I usually don't go to and found a guide to the land of good air. It's not that I wouldn't like to go slumming about a city's famous (and here I quote the back cover): "atmospheric tango and classic steakhouses and world class clubs, then escape to the hedonistic beach life of Punta del Este." Hmmm, hedonistic beach life, eh? That beats the slushy, rainy, shiver-bone weather we have here right now. It makes you want to sing the blues.

But before you do that, friends, I suggest you get your walkin' boots on and head down to the Creole Gallery tonight @ 7:30 pm, 1218 Turner St. in Lansing's Old Town …
